Unit Activites

When we use the slogan "Serious Fun" we’re not kidding! The sea cadets like all cadet forces try to offer young people as much choice as possible. Being Sea Cadets we have an emphasis on the water, this includes going sailing, kayaking, canoeing and even windsurfing.

However we can’t be on the water all the time (our fingers would go all wrinkly) so we try and cram in some other things like walking, field craft, camping, catering, engineering, abseiling, field craft, games, drill, leadership skills, climbing, archery, music, rope work, shooting, radio work, information technology…. Pretty much anything you may like, and if its not listed here ask, its probably because we’ve not gotten around to it! In all activities we ensure that there is a qualified instructor either from our own unit staff or from a nationally recognised qualified body.
